Judicial officers in the Netherlands and Lithuania: differences suggest new ideas
On 6-8 March, representatives of the Royal Professional Organization of Judicial Officers in The Netherlands (Koninklijke Beroepsorganisatie van Gerechtsdeurwaarders, KBvG), president Chris Bakhuis and board member Patrick Plate, visited Vilnius with a practical visit. The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the use of information technologies in the Lithuanian enforcement process. And the face-to-face meetings turned into an exchange of mutually beneficial experiences.

Last year, judicial officers recovered 14.3 percent more debts to creditors
With the assistance of judicial officers, 18.2 thousand creditors recovered at least a portion of their claimed debts in 2024. This group included 5 thousand legal entities and 12.8 thousand natural persons. Additionally, an ongoing collection of periodic maintenance payments (so-called alimony) benefited nearly 39.5 thousand creditors.

Kosovo is the eighth European country to adopt the experience of Lithuanian judicial officers
Representatives of the Kosovo Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents and the Kosovo Ministry of Justice visited Vilnius on 2-3 July. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the Lithuanian self-governance institutions of judicial officers and the organisation of debt enforcement processes in our country.
