Can statutory amendments save Lithuania from debts?
The portfolio of Lithuanian debtors preserves more than EUR 4 billion of debt, or more than a tenth of the state’s gross domestic product. It includes unpaid salaries to employees, utility charges, outstanding loans, unpaid fines for breaches of administrative law and numerous other debts. Lithuania is a reliable partner on the road to Ukraine's legal reform
Lithuania is mentioned as a reliable partner in reforming the Ukrainian legal system. These words were said in the Ukrainian Embassy in Lithuania on 20 July. Representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, private enforcement officers and representatives from the Chamber of Judicial Officers of Lithuania met with the Ambassador of Ukraine in Lithuania His Excellency Mr. Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi and his First Secretary Mr. Andriy Buriak.

A transparent and effective system of enforcement of judgements is possible not only in Lithuania, but also in Ukraine
On 18 July, the scientific discussion “The Institute of Judicial Officers in Lithuania and Ukraine” was held in the Chamber of Judicial Officers of Lithuania. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and judicial officers from various regions, such as Kyiv, Odessa, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania, members of the Seimas, judges, university professors, members of the Presidium and the Honorary Courts of the Chamber of Judicial Officers of Lithuania, judicial officers and other guests.

Best practice of Lithuanian judicial officers – for progress of Ukrainian decision- implementation system
On 17 July, the representatives of the Chamber of Judicial Officers of Lithuania, namely chairman of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs Juozas Bernatonis, chairman of the Seimas Committee on Social Affairs and Labour Rimantė Šalaševičiūtė and MP Andrius Palionis met with the representatives of the Ministry of Justices of Ukraine and private judicial officers. The guests from Ukraine came to Lithuania for an introductory practical visit, the purpose of which is to get acquainted with the experience of 15 years of Lithuanian judicial officers in the execution of debt recovery in the offices of judicial officers, the possibilities of the use of information technologies and the requirements of professional conduct.
